The Man in philosophical discourse: on history of ideas

The article appeals to the problem of man. The author investigates different approaches
to philosophical understanding of man supporting her research with extensive historical
and philosophical material. She treats the man both as the initiator of philosophical
thought and the central problem of philosophy.
