The signification of the concepts in research
on communication

The article discusses philosophical understanding of the notion of "concept" and the des-
ignation of key concepts of communication research. A comparative historical and philo-
sophical interpretation of the notion of "concept" is given. Based on the generalization of
the material, a conceptual approach to communication research is considered.
The em-
phasis was placed on the need to include the central concepts of communicative research
in the discourse on communication in order to optimize the process of studying communi-
cation.
