Efficiency criteria and indexes in space industry rely on its cost effectiveness evaluated
as the net results the sectors of the industry yield assessed against budgetary funds and
bankroll used to support them. The approach used to estimate the “multiplicative effect”
that the space industry arguably spins off indeed requires thorough investigation to be
appropriately applied to such specific industries and indicators of efficiency of their ac-
tivity. Issues related to the approach used to evaluate economical efficiency of “autono-
mous investment” considered to be an alternative way to support the space industry in-
stead of budgetary funding are also becoming controversial.
Keywords:
autonomous consumption, autonomous outlay (investment), autonomous net
taxes, fiscal (budget and tax) policy, limited economic resources (shortage of economic
resources, deficiency of economic resources), space field, multiplicative effect, multiplier
of expenditures, “cost-profit”, economic efficiency.
