The experiment on introduction of the module-rating system for junior courses at BMSTU

is considered to be successful. After adoption the new standard regulating the procedure

of current advancement control and intermediate attestation, the module-rating technol-

ogy will become mandatory in studies of all subjects. Studying the disciplines of profes-

sional cycle, aimed at forming a number of professional competences, must have its own

characteristics. The paper analyzes the module-rating system of the organization of

teaching the disciplines "Differential Geometry" and "Differential Geometry and tensor

calculus"

which are variable parts of the curriculum of professional cycle "Applied

Mathematics" and "Technical Phisics" in BMSTU.
