Formation of the first Socialist state:

theory and reality

The article analyses the reasons behind the formation of the political regime in the USSR

of the 1930s. The author maintains that one of the key reasons was the fact that apparent-

ly only a single pattern of ownership existed at the time, it being state ownership. In its

turn, the Marxist theory predicted the emergence of this economic situation.
