Russian education in international rankings:
the goal and means

In the context of the formation of a global scientific network, the internationalization of
higher education is becoming one of the strategic directions for the development of the
state. The article considers the main trends formed in the world educational ratings and
positions of the Russian universities in them. It is shown that the integration of scientific
developments of the RAS and Higher education institutions is the most promising strategy
for increasing positions of the Russian educational institutions in world rankings.
