Problems of legal regulation

of the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia

The article investigates the legal regulation of the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol

to Russia. The contradictions in the theory and implementation of the rules of the inter-

national law, regulating the issues of nation and nationality self-determination, the right

of secession of a part of the territory from the state are considered. Legal acts of Ukraine

and the Russian Federation at the period of the Crimea's annexation are analyzed, legal

conflicts in them are indicated, and the author's point of view on the issue of their solving

is presented.
