Philosophy of technology:
Problems and prospects of development

The study analyses the phenomena of technology and technological reality, considers the
structure of these phenomena and emergence of philosophy of technology as a discipline.
The article lists the ideas of classical writers working in this new discipline and outlines
the problems contributing to its further development. The author provides a personal in-
terpretation of contemporary technological reality and the subject of technological crea-
tivity, and defines the patterns and prospects of scientific progress. The study concludes
that it is necessary to realise that the technosphere is an integral part of the human exist-
ence that requires control.
