Personal development and modern education

Modern society equipped with information technology provides an opportunity for people

to solve many different problems together. This calls for joint efforts directly affects sci-

entific research where, as one can easily notice, interdisciplinary study is gaining interest

and importance. The headlong change in understanding of science calls for efforts on

people’s part to adapt to the change. Education is one of the most important factors of

such adaptation, it provides a certain vantage point to see, explore and understand the

world. To help people cope with challenges of the new information society it is advisable

to reconsider traditional approaches to education.
