On the issue of postmodern university education

The main purpose of the article is to describe the stages of the European University de-
velopment, to reveal the dependence of its essential features on the dominant type of sci-
entific rationality — classical, non-classical and post non-classical, and to show that its
transformation is associated with the change of scientific paradigms. We give the charac-
teristics of the postmodern age, special features of scientific rationality attributed to the
age and the emerging model of a modern university.
