The paper shows the groundlessness of denial by the bioconservatives of the need for transhumanist transformation of the human nature. It analyzes the bioconservatives’ arguments against recognizing the transhumanist ideas. The paper uses hermeneutic, dialectical, systemic, comparative, analytical, and deductive methods. It notes that the main reason for the deepening global crisis of the civilization on Earth is such properties inherent in the humans throughout all the centuries as irrepressible consumer desire, aggressiveness, and egoism. According to the transhumanists, these consciousness properties should be changed by transforming the human nature in order to avoid a tragic outcome. The deification and the humanism cultivation concepts are considered in the process of human education as an alternative to the transhumanism. The paper argues that these concepts are utopian in nature and insufficient as a basis in overcoming the global civilization crisis; although, they have certain significance for the moral education of people. The argument that transhumanism contradicts the ideas of humanism is analyzed. The paper proves that only radical, but not the moderate transhumanism, contradicts humanism. Common features of humanism and moderate transhumanism are provided. Risks in the increasing social inequality as a result of the transhumanist programs implementation are considered. The obtained results make it possible to develop approaches to reducing or eliminating possible risks of transhumanist transformations of the human nature.
