The aim of the article is to study and analyse the institution of the international adoptions
and its today's state, as well as to examine the theory and practice of applying the stand-
ards regulating such relationships. We focus on contradictions in the legislation of vari-
ous countries and suggest ways of solving some of these legal conflicts.
