Numerical modeling of lunar disk shape changes

(according to the manuscript copy of the XVII century

“And when the Moon will be”)

The article considers a mathematical model of a lunar disk medieval geometry in the

treatise "And when the Moon will be" according to the manuscript copy "Explanatory

Paleya" of the late XVII century. It provides reason to believe that in Muscovy there ex-

isted theoretical (mathematical) knowledge.
