The article analyzes the psychological concept of giftedness as a form of scientific knowledge, the process of its formation and development, as well as the philosophical foundations of the psychological concept of giftedness. Psychology is considered as an extra-paradigm discipline, which as its paradigm uses a ready-made, external paradigm that has a non-specific, sociocultural origin. The paradigm includes ideological and philosophical components; its content is internally inconsistent and incomplete, allowing the existence of various philosophical concepts and logically incompatible scientific theories.
