Prospects for developing a synthetic concept of the truth

The paper considers the correspondent, coherent, conventionalist, pragmatist, instrumentalist, consensual, intuitionistic, empiricist, and psychological concepts of truth. The purpose of the article is to justify the hypothesis about the possibility of synthesizing the rational features of the mentioned concepts and creating a universal (general) theory of the truth. The core of the general theory of the truth may be the concept of correspondence, since only it reveals the essence of the truth as knowledge corresponding to reality. Other concepts reflect various characteristics of true knowledge, the conditions for its achievement, justification, acceptance by the scientific community, functioning, and use with varying degrees of adequacy, and in some cases they identify the essence of truth with its criterion. There are 5 criteria of truth: empirical confirmation based on statistically reliable observation (the main criterion), logical provability, heuristicity of hypotheses, simplicity, and beauty. The article uses the methodology of epistemological (constructive) realism, based on the recognition of the fundamental cogniscibility of any entities.
