Linguistic and cultural aspects of the
Russian political blogosphere

The purpose of this article is to analyze linguistic and cultural specific character of
network political discourse. The findings of this research illustrate the basic features of
the Russian political blogosphere. We conclude that it is possible to interpret the cate-
gory cultural identity in a broad sense, considering it as a set of factors that determine
the specificity of cultural society.
