Linguodidactic foundation in the receptive terminological competence formation using the digital forensics subject area

The paper considers linguodidactic aspects in forming the receptive terminological competence as part of the reading competence with students of the technical universities and identifies its component composition. It describes stages in developing the terminological competence that include translated and non-translated methods of the terminology semantization, as well as exercises ensuring its primary consolidation. Based on the materials of the digital forensics subject area, the paper provides an inventory and structural-semantic analysis of the specialized vocabulary; main difficulties in mastering it are identified, and the terminological minimum is compiled. Linguodidactic potential of the modern online resources is studied, which includes automatic task generation in developing the lexical skills. A set of training exercises is provided reflecting various aspects in forming the terminological competence that includes exercises in differentiation and identification, development of the word forming and contextual guesswork, expansion of the associative links and equivalent replacements, as well as exercises in the forecasting learning. This work practical significance lies in the fact that the study results could be introduced in development of the operation program, materials of the educational and methodological complex and the fund of assessment tools for the Foreign Language discipline in training the 40.05.03 Forensic Expertise specialists.
