An analysis of a number of armed conflicts involving the United States and Great Britain in the second half of the 20th century (Vietnam, Malaya, South Yemen, Guyana, Northern Ireland, Iraq, etc.) is conducted. It is noted that these wars were accompanied by cruelty towards the enemy and the use of criminal methods of warfare. It is revealed that during invasions of the territories of other states, the United States and Great Britain made significant efforts to justify their actions and present them as lawful and not contradicting international law, primarily through legal justification and information support. Examples are provided that demonstrate the inconsistency of the declared positions with the actual nature of military operations, which calls into question the compliance of the actions of the United States and Great Britain with international legal standards.
