A complex of ethical issues related to human exploration of outer space was examined, and an analysis of the moral dilemmas arising in the context of space expansion, which remain insufficiently studied and comprehended to this day, was analyzed. Key moral dilemmas emerging in the process of space exploration were identified and systematized, and possible approaches to their resolution were proposed. The main focus is on four major aspects: issues of equitable access to space resources, ethical constraints on planetary colonization, norms governing interaction with potential forms of extraterrestrial life, and technological safety issues. Of special interest is the analysis of contradictions between traditional anthropocentrism in space activities and the need to develop new ethical principles for space-related human endeavors. The novelty of the research lies in its interdisciplinary approach, combining philosophical analysis with current issues in human space activities. Classic ethical concepts — from Kant's categorical imperative to modern theories — have been reinterpreted in relation to the new challenges of humanity's space age. A system of criteria for assessing anthropogenic impact on space ecosystems has been developed. The practical significance of the research is evident in the proposed mechanisms for institutionalizing space ethics, including the development of international ethical codes, regulations governing human space expansion, and the establishment of international expert councils. The necessity to move from outdated space exploration models to a new paradigm based on the principles of space solidarity and responsibility has been substantiated. The results of the study make a significant contribution to the development of contemporary applied ethics and the philosophy of cosmism and can be used in the formation of international space policy and the development of regulatory and legal acts governing human activities in outer space.
