University choir as dynamic sociocultural system

University choir is described as a dynamic sociocultural system, as well as an object of the interdisciplinary approach. The "input-output" investigation model has enabled to postulate a close relationship between amateur chorus music and two major patterns of social life, including value judgments and basic principles of human behavior. A general historical survey of chorus singing in Russia is also made to verify the conclusion.
