Problems and prospects of teaching humanities and social sciences in Bauman Moscow State Technical University (using cultural and social studies as an example)

The article deals with the problem of teaching humanities and social sciences in technological universities using the BMSTU Department of Social and Cultural Studies as an example. We analyse specifics of instruction in cultural and social studies, suggest optimum methods of solving organisational problems so as to increase the humanities and social sciences component in implementing education programs in a technological university.
