The phenomenon of evaluation in socialization theory

The article presents the critical analysis of the phenomenon of evaluation in the pedagogical and sociological theories of socialization. The “evaluative” varieties of socialization are considered. The purpose of the article is to determine the consistency of the phenomenon of assessment in the theory of socialization. It is concluded that the evaluative component in the theory of socialization does not fulfill its main functions — technological and informational. The current problems in the field of socialization theory are highlighted. The groundlessness of the status-role approach to socialization is reasoned. The lack of accounting for alternative approaches by the subjects of scientific creativity makes the theory of socialization vulnerable.
