The use of video materials in the process of teaching foreign languages at the technical university

The paper considers audition aimed at formation in students of one of the communicative competencies in foreign language. Video materials with their detailed classification were offered as training materials. A phased system of speech exercises oriented towards improving the educational process efficiency was proposed. An example of the practical use of video materials during classes was provided, and recommendations were given for selection of the tasks. Relationship between all types of speech activity in the process of teaching a foreign language in a technical university was demonstrated.
