The author provides personal interpretation of "electro technical means of teaching" concept. He investigates up-and-coming field of means of teaching exploiting off-the-shelf computer technologies. The readers will benefit from brief review of author's personal experience of using these techniques for teaching a foreign language as well as his attempt to explain how these teaching means are going to fit into the whole system of education.
