On the issue of postmodern university education

The main purpose of the article is to describe the stages of the European University development, to reveal the dependence of its essential features on the dominant type of scientific rationality - classical, non-classical and post non-classical, and to show that its transformation is associated with the change of scientific paradigms. We give the characteristics of the postmodern age, special features of scientific rationality attributed to the age and the emerging model of a modern university.
