On the issue of the First national militia formation
on the Ryazan land

The article considers events of the Russian history in the early 17th century. We have
analysed the formation process and the activity of the First national militia. Besides, the
paper highlights the role of Ryazan governor P.P. Lyapunov in the national movement
organization in the Time of Troubles. The study has also researched the First national
militia
contribution to the process of liberation struggle against foreign invaders.
