Architect K.I. Dzhus-Danilenko — forefather of schools that became a symbol of Moscow education

The paper examines for the first time in detail biography of the Soviet architect, creator and forefather of the typical Moscow schools K.I. Dzhus-Danilenko based on compilation of the disparate facts, It presents the life and creative path of the architect. The paper highlights main milestones in his biography: participation in the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War, beginning of the architect’s creative path, his merits in Moscow reconstruction and school buildings design for the capital. The paper introduces into scientific circulation materials of the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, as well as the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It concludes on the significance of the architect's work for the Moscow education system.
