Russian historiography on the Vyborg province in the first half of the 19th century

The paper shows that at the beginning of the 19th century the official state status of Old Finland and Vyborg changed. Due to the integration of this territory into the Grand Duchy of Finland, land and peasant issues became aggravated, legal contradictions arose. It is noted that the beginning of the 19th century became an important transitional stage from conflict resolution to the identification of the regional structure in the northwest of the country. At the same time, this period in the life of Old Finland and Vyborg is still outside the field of view of Russian researchers, remaining in the shadow of the second half of the 20th century. The features of this region are studied, existing works on this topic are analyzed and the problems of its study are noted.
