Documents of the church registers of the 2nd half of the XIX c. as a source of genealogical and biographical information about the parish clergy (using the example of parish clergy of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in the village of Akulinino, Podolsk district

The paper uses the example of the parish clergy of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel to analyze the information potential of audit tales, confession sheets and parish registers as sources of genealogical and biographical information about the parish clergy in the second half of the XIX century. It concludes that with the missing clergy lists, these sources are able to restore information about the surname, first name, patronymic, and age of most of the clergy and church servants at the Church of St. Michael the Archangel. These sources are making it possible to determine their approximate length of service in the parish, find information about composition of their families, as well as about family ties among the clergy.
