Technosphere socio-cultural transformation as a global threat to the development of civilization in the XXI century

The paper analyzes main trends in socio-cultural transformation of the modern civilization technosphere, which are manifested in the 21st century as a result of rapid development of the scientific and technological revolution and large-scale technogenic human activity. It is shown that these trends represent a global threat to further development of the civilization. If these trends continue in the future, human race could vanish because of destruction of the planet vital ecosystems and global ecological crisis growing rapidly. It is expected that it would reach its apogee in the middle of the 21st century. Transformation of the information sphere also entails profound destructive alterations in social, psychological and intellectual qualities of the individual. This is a new threat to global security.
