Masculinity and femininity in modern society: transformation trends

The modern world sees a feminization of men and a masculinization of women, which is especially evident among the younger generation — their clothing style, everyday behavior, worldview, and other aspects. Although the reasons for this trend are various and numerous and their number is constantly increasing, mainly it is due to the mixing of person’s gender roles. In production, the traditional gender division of labor is being destroyed: both women quickly master male professions, and men begin to work in those industries that are traditionally considered female. The political and economic spheres, as well as the family, have been experiencing changes in gender relations for a long time. One of the important factors in the declining gender self-determination is the growing tolerance towards homosexual relationships.
