The role of emotional intelligence in project management

The purpose of the study was to analyze the application of emotional intelligence in project management, examine the skills a manager should have, as well as the way the level of emotional competence affects his activity. The paper scientifically substantiates the existence of emotional intelligence, describes its theoretical aspects, and gives specific examples of how emotional intelligence is used by managers in project management. Furthermore, the problem of primary study and mastering the skills of emotional intelligence is touched upon, and the differences in the use of emotional intelligence in inter- and peer-to-peer interaction between project participants are explained. Finally, the factors influencing the possibility of using emotional intelligence in project management, such as corporate culture, project duration and team size, are identified.
