Middle class in Russia in tough survival environment

The article reviews formation of middle class in Russia. It studies both quantitative and qualitative aspects. It highlights the role of the "new" middle class in the economic development. The authors have determined criteria and functions of traditional and new middle class under the increasing effects of crisis.
