Simulativeness of a political event: Significance of J. Baudrillard’s and A. Badiou’s approaches

The article reveals the actual significance of J. Baudrillard’s and A. Badiou’s approaches to the analysis of socio-political reality. We consider the problem of simulating the political activity through the example of organizing rallies, referendums, election campaigns. The main mechanisms of the mass media structures influence on modern events are described: the irresponsiveness of the news message, the speed and inclusiveness of the news information, its simulativeness and the substitution of notions. We show the distinction between genuine and simulated political events.
