The paper proposes concretization of the general scientific rationality concept in relation to four qualitatively different levels of scientific knowledge: sensory, empirical, theoretical and metatheoretical. General scientific rationality is a set of necessary and sufficient properties in scientific knowledge that qualitatively distinguish it from all other types of human knowledge (ordinary, artistic, religious, mythological and philosophical). Such properties of scientific knowledge include maximum certainty, testability, evidence (logical, empirical and theoretical), consistency and usefulness. However, they are understood differently not only in different fields of science (mathematics, natural sciences, social and humanitarian, technical sciences), but even in the same field of scientific knowledge, but at the different levels (sensory, empirical, theoretical and metatheoretic knowledge). It is shown that only concretization of the general scientific rationality concept in relation to different levels of scientific knowledge makes it possible to effectively solve the problem of substantiating different levels of scientific knowledge, as well as criteria for their verity.
