The category of matter in the ontology and epistemology of Holbach and Lenin: identity and difference

By identifying the identity and difference in views on the ontology and epistemology of matter of the prominent French enlightener of the 18th century Paul Henri Thiry Holbach (“The System of Nature, or Laws of the Moral and Physical World”) and an outstanding Marxist philosopher of the XX century Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (“Materialism and Empirio-Criticism”), the study attempts to interpret dialectical materialism as a concept not burdened with ideological intentions.
