External physical analogies as a method of modeling the socio-political reality in the media

The paper considers the results of studying the Internet news resources covering social and political issues, and analyzes the external physical analogies used in these media. The study shows the application of the terminology taken from mechanics, the theory of relativity and synergetics. Findings of research demonstrate the abuse associated with the construction of analog models. As a result, the mythologization of scientific ideas is revealed
