G.P. Fedotov on culture in the human and eschatological perspective

The article analyzes the philosophy of culture of the famous Russian thinker of the turn of the XIX–XX centuries Georgy Petrovich Fedotov. The philosopher associates culture with the dignity and vocation of man; designates culture as a social sphere of spirit, a free harmony of personal creative acts. G.P. Fedotov interprets culture as an integral part of religion, as the creation of a religious personality and at the same time the appeal of God to a man and the person's response to the call of God. Therefore, he considers culture in a dual perspective: human and eschatological.
