Modality categories and their usage in modern biological concepts

The article analyses the validity of the use of the categories of modality (necessity, fortuity and opportunity), clarifies their contents in biology. We studied the first in the history of philosophy, understanding of the categories of modality by Democritus, including by the means of modern logic. We show the basic uses of the categories considered in modern biology.
