"Catch-up" model of modernization: theoretical and historiographical issues

The main features of the "catch-up" and the "organic" models of modernization are considered, achievements and contradictions of the Soviet modernization of the 1930th are analyzed. Based on the theoretical and the historiographical analysis concluded a unique possibility for modern Russia to use advantages of "catch-up" and "organic" models of modernization.
