The article analyses the reasons behind the formation of the political regime in the USSR of the 1930s. The author maintains that one of the key reasons was the fact that apparently only a single pattern of ownership existed at the time, it being state ownership. In its turn, the Marxist theory predicted the emergence of this economic situation.
