Siberian Society of Engineers in the early XX century

The author has analysed early years of work of the Siberian Society of Engineers in Tomsk (1909-1914). The scientist treats the Siberian Society of Engineers as a complex self-organising, self-regulating structure. The Siberian Society of Engineers provides expert services and is responsible for maintaining an order in relation between technical knowledge and society. The article shows the Siberian Society of Engineers members’ contribution into development of industry and diffusion of technical knowledge in Siberia.
