Transhumanism: Potential utopia or social collapse?

The paper analyzes phenomenon of transhumanism and its influence on the modern society. It studies the concept of transhumanism as the desire to improve human abilities through technologies and identifies its possible social and ethical consequences. Contradictions between technical capabilities of the transhumanism and its potential negative consequences for society and humans are comprehensively analyzed. An overview is presented of the current state of discourse on transhumanism and the future of humanity in the context of rapid technological development.
