Prospects for Implementing the Concept of Digital Immortality in the Perceptions of Technical University Students

A sociological study of the perceptions of technical university students regarding possible ways to implement the concept of digital immortality was conducted, using qualitative and quantitative methods: focus groups and an online questionnaire survey. It is shown that the technical implementation of the concept of digital immortality cannot be fully realized on existing digital platforms. It was revealed that future engineers, unlike humanities students, see the prospect of implementing the concept of digital immortality within new devices, a physical carrier through which it is possible to model an individual's behavior. It is noted that the development of a complex architecture capable of reproducing a personality is required. The results obtained emphasize the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to the development of the concept of digital immortality.
