Spaced repetition method in teaching foreign languages

The paper considers the spaced repetition method as an effective approach in mastering the new lexical units. Works of scientists, who studied specifics of memory, were analyzed. The methods of qualitative memorization of new information are described, and a brief overview of software programs and smartphone applications based on the spaced repetition method is presented. Practical significance of using the spaced repetition method in foreign language classes at a technical university is indicated.
