The paper deals with the issues of improving the educational process in the study of engineering graphics within the framework of the Worldskills championship in the field of the Engineering graphics CAD. The experience and methods of selecting and training students for such championship are emphasized. The standards of higher vocational education and the Worldskills standards are compared
