Human potential and innovative provision of the Russian economy competitiveness: realities and prospects

The article follows up a series of articles devoted to the scientific concept that, in the context of economic globalization, the development of national economies is a new kind of competition, called the quality competition. The thesis is offered that innovation is the basis for increasing the competitiveness of the national economy. The basic concept of innovative economy is given, the role of innovative infrastructure is defined and it is shown, that it is the basic component of innovative economy, innovative potential of the society.The role of small business in the development of innovative economy is noted. The emphasis was placed on the importance of developing human potential for creating an innovative economy: professional training and activity of the organization staff. In this regard, the importance of technical universities, including the BMSTU, capable of creating a specific innovative climate for the growth of the competitiveness of the Russian economy is stressed.
