Development of domestic machine-tool construction industry as one of conditions of the Russian economy technical security

The article studies the problem of the domestic machine-tool construction development at the moment. We emphasize the fact that the industry renewal is one of the main conditions of technical security. We analyze machine park working state and likelihood for import substitution in the industry. The article presents the historical picture of the machine-tool construction development in Russia, discusses the reasons for the lagging industry compared to the modern high-tech equipment production in the leading countries. We give the comparative characteristics of industry share in the production of GDP. On the example of "ECM", company producing modern metal-working machines, we trace the possibility of reviving the machine-tool construction industry, which could lead Russia to technical independence on imported equipment.
