The phenomenon of digital immortality is examined as a relevant philosophical problem that has emerged under conditions of the dynamic development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence systems. Digital immortality is understood as a set of technological practices aimed at the digitization, reproduction, and possible continuation of personal existence within a digital environment. The relationship between contemporary technological capabilities and the ultimate limitations associated with the impossibility of fully transferring human consciousness is investigated. The question of the necessity of achieving immortality as one of the ultimate goals of human development, including through digital technologies, is analyzed. The positions of techno-ontology, which substantiates the permissibility and desirability of digitally overcoming mortality, and ecological ontology, which recognizes death as an integral part of the life cycle, are compared. The concept of the noosphere is examined, within the framework of which the cyclicality of life and the succession of generations are regarded as necessary conditions for the evolution of humanity as a species. The relevance of the problem is determined both by the enduring presence of the theme of immortality within the philosophical tradition and by the acceleration of modern technological development, under conditions in which philosophical reflection often lags behind the practical implementation of new solutions. Conclusions are drawn regarding the necessity of an anticipatory philosophical understanding of the concept of digital immortality prior to its possible full technological realization, since the absence of such reflection may entail irreversible worldview-related, anthropological, and social consequences for humanity.
