Influence of information technology on the formation
of the Global World

The article deals with information technology, its impact on processes of globalisation in
the modern socio-cultural space. The scientists analyse information technology, they
strictly differentiate such concepts as “information society”, “globalisation”, “in-
formatization”, revealing both positive and negative consequences of globalisation. The
authors try to forecast further development of information society in the globalizing
world.
